Landsat Mosaic

This digital satellite image mosaic of Switzerland and surrounds has been assembled out of about 20 individual images taken by the American satellite Landsat 5, in the years 1990 to 1994. Due to uniform scale and balanced colors the mosaic appears to be one single image. The medium resolution of 25 m allows for regional overviews at scales 1:100 000 and smaller. The data is freely available from the toposhop. To download it, you must accept the terms of use and provide your address.
